It’s obviously important to think about what makes a great workshop, but it’s equally important to understand what makes a mediocre or poorly received workshop.
Our time together will be spent discussing many topics like (but not limited to):
- Figure out several workshops that you can develop based on passion, experience and knowledge
- Setting up a recurring schedule for optimal attendance and revenue
- Creating an effective marketing plan and schedule, for both the short-term and long-term
- Analyze your current website and social media
- Write a great description for your workshop that’s clear and concise
- Design a flyer that reaches your demographic and conveys your brand
- Decide which presentation mediums will work best for your workshop, whether it’s a PowerPoint presentation, a manual, or a simple handout. You’ll design it, I’ll review it and then we’ll work together to polish it into a presentation that fits your brand and your demographic.
- Figure out the best time of year to hold your workshop, and how often
- Figure out what kind of staffing or assistants you’ll need
- Decide what your best capacity for a quality workshop and student retention
- Figure out your optimal pricing, create a budget with expenses and talk about different pay rates
- When the time gets close to your workshop date we’ll do a dry run
- You’ll have several hours of homework to do between our phone calls
- Discuss contracts and your cancelation policies
We’ll work together for a total of three hours. If you’d still like some help and direction after we’re done it’s $50 per hour.
